Wheel for Xbox 360/PC Player

I see a lot on this forum about ps3 wheels. I wondering what wheel is best for Xbox/PC players. I mainly play Forza 3 Dirt 2 and NASCAR the Game and I'm looking into iRacing.

I did a quick search of the forum and couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

The best wheels are the Fanatec wheels, but those are pricey. There is also the Logitech Drive FX that has axial feedback instead of force feedback, and then there is the Madcatz wheel that are cheap, but act as a wheel with pedals.

As of now I own a Madcatz MC2, but I really am wanting to get a new wheel. After owning a G25, this Madcatz wheel feels like a child's toy. I am currently looking into buying a Fanatec wheel just because I know they are quality products that will last me and give me the best experience.

Yeah I've been doing some research and it seems theres no middle ground, either go real cheap or real expensive. I probably want to stay away from Mad Catz but I don't know if I'll use the Fantec wheel enough to justify it's price tag.

Yea, the selection is pretty poor for the 360 side. It's sad too because Forza, Dirt, Grid, etc. all seem to do well on the 360, but Microsoft just down't seem to care enough to have more wheels.

You could wait a little bit longer though as Forza 4 is coming out this Fall, and a new wheel announcement seems like it could happen.

I use my MS Wireless racing wheel. Miracle I still have it with the tons of offers I get for it... lol

Hopefully the price drop hits in 2 weeks and I can fire it up.

im in the exact same boat. will purchase NTG2011 for 360 after price reduction and gettin a new PC in a week or 2 and wanna try out iRacing.

i've been reading up a ton on this stuff, and it seems like the best deal for your buck is the Logitech Driving Force GT. it's around 129.99 new and reviews are good for it. a lot of advertisements say its a PS3 wheel and how its the 'official' wheel of GT5 but from my understanding it can be used for iRacing too.

that's really the only one i've found thats relatively cheap but still one of the top level wheels

Pretty sure that won't work with the 360 though.

Re: Wheel for Xbox 360/PC Player

I had to move to PC for racing games as the Microsoft Wheel isn't that great.

I completed every race on the 360 version of Dirt but had to set the difficulty to easy or
one above easy to be able to compete in the races. I then bought the Logitech G27 and played Dirt on the PC and I was able to win most of the time on nearly the hardest difficulty level. I then raced the same on track and car on the 360 vs the PC and my times dramatically increased using the Logitech.

I would love it if Logitech and Microsoft would play nice so that the wheels would work on the 360 as I would really like to play Forza. They discontinued the 360 wheel so maybe when Forza releases maybe I will get lucky.
