Re: Gran Turismo 5 Discussion

This is the one game that almost makes me want to buy a PS3...but the wife would kill me. Damn, if this thing isn't going put Forza 3 to shame. It might not have all the paint and sell your anime-boobie-weed-nazi car stuff but it looks a million times more polished. From the menus to the gameplay it actually seems to include things that matter to racing fans instead of trying to please some mysterious 8-80 year olds demographic. Damn, seeing this game makes me more pissed at Turn10 for turning out that halo-kiddie racer crap they call a sim.

Damage on a concept car parts falling off, this was thought only to be done on race cars.

Except it's just the driver panning his head to the steering of the car. Other vids confirm this. If you just tap right or left his head turns. lol

Re: Gran Turismo 5 Discussion

GT Planet posters( CoolColJ)A.I. observation, he notes some interesting finds in this video about the A.I. improvements, so we may be getting some of the frontal lobe back.

first his quote:
SLS AMG on the Nurburgring. Pro physics, Traction Control at 1, no racing line, Sports S2 tires, ASM off, Active Steering off and manual transmission.

It looks like the AI has received a nice upgrade. The person playing is actually a good driver and he isn't able to make it to make it out of 7th position (which is where he started). Also around 4:10 you can see him stab the brakes to make a turn and the AI driver swerves around him to overtake instead of just ramming him. The AI drivers seem to make a lot of mistakes too as you can regularly see dirt fly off because they run off the track.

The Nurburgring also seems to be much bumpier than it was in GT4.
