Online IROC series in Nascar 09

This may be the worst idea ever and don't be afraid to tell me if it is. I was thinking that an IROC like series in Nascar 09 may be fun. When you race online the best racer does not win just the man that spends the most time working to find a bad a** setup. That is fine I just thought a change would be good if people do not want to spend an incredible ammount of time on setups. We could have races where everyone runs the default setup (rookie or vetern) in the car on tracks the IROC cars used to run. If anyone likes the idea post here and send me a friend request so we can view each others custom paint schemes. I think IROC cars are avalible for download on Ann and Roys paint scheme site. I will create a post with all the rules if anyone wants to try this.

I stink at setups so I like the idea. Is there a way to lock setups on default or will this be on the honor system?

Hit me up with a link to that site as well. Been a while since I dusted off this game.

Re: Online IROC series in Nascar 09

I thought my idea was a first at the time but I looked on the EA forums and it has been tried before. Everything I have read it is a lot of fun because you have 9 to 10 cars racing for the win instead of 2 to 3. I am like you I stink at setups.

There is no way to lock default setups but if someone is two seconds faster every lap you know something is up. It is basically an honor system and if someone thinks they are smart and wants to cheat they will have to live with themselves. We could have a vote with all the drivers in the league to decide to kick them. I think the drivers should have the choice of what assists to turn on or off in the gameplay settings or whether to use the rookie or veteran setup.

If we can get some more people I will give this a shot. There are 11 IROC cars to choose from. We can have a draft for the people to choose the driver they want so we don't have duplicates. Another thing is the races probably need to start after 11:30 pm on the east coast.

Here is a link to the paint scheme site. This is just the IROC cars but they have alot more. It is the best one I have found with all the 2009 cars for free.

I will start working on some rules an post a copy and then anyone can give me advice on changes that need to be made
