Burnout Paradise's New Software Update Slated For Aug. 4th?

The "Cagney" update for Burnout Paradise has a tentative release date of August 4th. Head on over to Criterion Games for the news.

Is this update out on the PS3? Is it any good? I never play this game and am not sure this update will breath any new life into it. I am thinking I should just dumped it for something else.
