Out of town for the weekend, but looked things up today.

What a start for Montreal. 1-0 Win vs Seattle, then 2-1 win over Portland.

Already time for Portland to come to town. Should be a great game.

Pretty quiet for it being rivalry week.

Looking forward to Portland this weekend. We were by far the superior team last season, but they were able to steal away the Cascadia Cup (which it seemed MLS wanted to steal this offseason).

Should be a good game. I'm a little worried that we have too much emotion coming off of the win midweek over Tigres.

I agree, but here in LA we couldn't care less about Chivas. They are not a rival. The hated ones from the ayso park up north are our rivals.

Same in New England. While we do love to hate Philly in all sports, Chicago is out biggest rival. But we just played them last week (and MLS seems to be forcing a KC/Chicago rivalry), and NY and DC are rivals as well but they play each other.

But, it's not the only "Rivalry Week" this season, just the first.

I heard that Red Bulls player that encroached into the box on San Jose's penalty did it on purpose to try and "ice" the penalty taker. I hope this doesn't become a trend.

Thinking about it. Would they even make the kicker retry the penalty if they make it and it was clearly the other team that committed the infraction?

Nah, they wouldn't. That's the thing. Roy Miller's an idiot, he finally got benched for today's game.

Yeah, you and Chicago have some history for sure.

MLS seems to be desperately trying to find a rival for Philly. The "rivalry" with NYRB just isn't there yet either IMO.
