Yeah you're probably right. If Baba starts and plays well tonight let him go again on Sunday. He's got young legs

I think Baba and Cheek did well in the game. Not as good as the announcer thought they did however.

And I hope Willian isn't out for long. And that goal by Costa was pretty nice.

Willian and Pedro are both definitely out for Saturday according to CFC twitter.

RLC was probably the best player on the entire pitch tonight, he was fantastic. That performance could be crucial, not even really amazing, just generally solid and promising. Baba I think could turn out to be great.

I thought Baba was really good. His license to get forward and overlap Hazard really opened it up for Eden. His defending was a little lax at times but it's going to take to gel. RLC is just so damn calm and in control for someone of his age, especially considering the pressure on him. As he gets more comfortable he'll take more forays forward.

I think a lot ppl (not us) take for granted how good Eden is considering he's constantly facing multiple defenders because Jose instructs Azpi to stay back. You take one defender away with an overlap and Eden will carve up anyone like he did today. His finishing is just meh though.

Good, not great, overall performance but it's going to pose some interesting squad decisions. Did the fringe players do enough to supplant Matic, Ivanovic, and Terry? Will Jose trust them in a huge spot against Arsenal?

With no Willian & Pedro he could play Matic, RLC, and Cesc with Hazard-Costa-Oscar up top in a balanced 4-3-3.

Oh, Thank You for coming back Oscar! We play so much more organized and balanced with him in there.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***

It really just depends if he wants to keep playing a high line/high press. We can't play that with Terry, a low block suits him much better.

I think ultimately though, Jose is leading us towards a high press system. From what it looks like, basically a more structured version of Dortmund's system. I think that is where he has been taking us, the 6-0 vs Arsenal I think is how he wants us to play all the time.

Honestly Traore looked good today as well, he seemed to have similar confidence levels and comfort on the ball that RLC has. You can tell Jose told him he could roam around a lot, which I'd say confirms how highly Jose rates Traore considering his age.

I'd love to see more of Traore and RLC. It sounded like we might too, the way Jose was talking about them after the match, especially RLC.
