The 2008-09 NHL Regular Season

I thought it might be nice to have a general NHL season thread for us to talk about games, trades, injuries, etc. I'll try to edit in some good hockey-related links to keep in the first post for reference.

I'm just finishing up watching the second game (VAN @ CGY) of the HNIC double-header on the NHL Network. It's gonna be awesome to have this every Saturday night, along with Versus' two games and the Penguins. Can't wait to see all these rough western Canadian matchups, especially later in the year...

I must express that Columbus being in the Western Conference is a stupid idea all around.

Not only are the games on late, but they have nearly no shot at making the playoffs. I believe they would be a top 8 team in the East.

Re: The 2008-09 NHL Regular Season

I was about to make a thread like this seeing as we can discuss nightly games in one thread, rather than having four million different threads.

I don't have much time to type write now but man are the Rangers looking good!

If you're going with that it's the same for Detroit and a few other Western Conference teams...sucks, but just how it is.

Pretty much anyone in the central. I hope if Bettman actually follows through on more expansion or relocation, if the Jackets survive, they are moved to the Eastern Conference.
