I'd call that a successful start.
They won that game last night in the first period. Rask made some great timely saves all night as well, they got away from the game plan a bit late in the 2nd and early 3rd, but finished strong. For two teams that see each other once a year, there sure is a rivalry vibe and some bad blood between Dallas and the Bruins. Gotta love it, great game.

Well Jumbo Joe goes back to Boston on Saturday. I am going to miss it, because I have a training day. Sucks too, because both teams are playing good too.

is it just me, but this blindside hit was to the shoulder (intially), not to the head. right? or am i wrong?

when are the guys getting hit like this gonna be responsable? keep your head up...

sure it was from a blindside, but if he has his head up, then by NHL standards its a clean hit.

i dunno, this crap just keeps getting worse, not better for the league.

The hit was a hard hit to the shoulder and he whipped around. The NHL always over reacts nowadays instead of usng common sense. It seems if a hit looks devastating you will get punished.

That was a terrible interference call on Brouwer. That should've been a goal by Bolland. Brouwer wasn't in the crease nor did he interfere with Luongo. Awful.

This has been a horribly officiated game.

I agree, that's probably the worst goalie interference call I've seen in the post-lockout era. Combined with the offside Ehrhoff goal, I don't blame Blackhawk fans for feeling robbed.

That said, I like the fact that Vancouver persevered after the Bolland goal. Any win over Team Kryptonite is a welcome one. This is now the latest in any season that the Canucks have led the NHL standings. The weight of expectations is going to be very, very heavy once the playoffs roll around.

I think the Hawks will do well enough that they'll jump to 5th/6th by the end of the year, but I'd love to play Vancouver in the first round
