Already an opening in New York and now Jack Del Rio has been fired by the Raiders.

The usual chatter about Gruden returning, remains to be seen if there's anything series.

He informally met w/ the Raiders prior to their Christmas game he commentated and there's been a lot of noise from the Raiders press about it the last 48 hours.

That will only increase now that Del Rio has been fired.

Well apparently they're offering an ownership stake to Gruden as well. This is probably the most aggressive the Raiders have been in trying to re-acquire the services of Chucky.

Adam Schefter reported this evening with "100% certainty" Jon Gruden will be the next coach of the Raiders. He didn't cite a source, however, and based it on the fact that they wouldn't fire Del Rio unless they were certain they could get Gruden.

The Rooney rule has good intentions but when it comes to situations like this it's completely made to look like a mockery.

Typical Raiders. Del Rio had a 12-4 season last year. One sub par year and he’s fired. All because they want a coach who won a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy’s players.

Meanwhile, Hue Jackson has one win in two years and still has a job. Lol

If the Raiders don’t want Del Rio, I wish the Bengals would take him.
