He's the best corner in the league no doubt, but he doesn't deserve to get paid more than Peyton. Sorry.

Peyton Manning probably isn't worth 20 million a year.

Nobody else is even close, so hell no.

Jet's can't afford that, hell they can't even sell all their PSLs.

Shut down corners are game changers on how you can run a D philosophy but 20 million seems a tad high.

No. No team will ever pay him that. Therefore he is literally not worth it.

I agree, there isn't a corner alive that is worth 20 million, especially if he can't cover 2 WR at the same time.

Well....It's not like their contracts are guaranteed and if there's one defensive player in the league I can see as deserving of the mega bucks it's him but honestly I wouldn't throw that kind of money at him. Shutdown corners can be great but their drop off is MIGHTY steep.

I like that assessment because if I were a GM I'd much rather pay a pass rushing specialist more money than a shutdown CB even though I know the CB is far harder to come by. It's not unheard of for great DE/OLBs to play into 10, 12, 14+ seasons but for a CB to stay that consistent is unheard of. Even a guy like Darrell Green, who played for 20 seasons, wasn't near the elite level player as he was towards the end of his years, but a guy like Reggie White was near dominate even towards the end.
