Will Lorenzo Neal be elected to the Hall of Fame?

He may be the best blocking fullback of all time. I wonder will he ever get considered to the Hall of Fame. I think he should be under heavy consideration when he retires.

Peace

Even as a Charger fan, no.

say yes because it comes down too a role that bares no stats.
You dont lead the league in blocking for the RB.

LT put his legendary career together behind this fella....This year without Neal LT was not the same.

If he dosent get considered , there will never be a blocking fb in the hall of fame ever.

Hey alteast he will be in the ring of honor for the chargers.

I was thinking about this yesterday while watching the game. Almost every back he has blocked for has had 1000 yds at least.

I can see him making the HOF but I can also see him getting the Art Monk treatment where he could be waiting a while. I do think he deserves to be in there as well.

He should make it in eventually. He definitely deserves it.

I was thinking about Johnson for the Cowboys but Neal career is more diverse and longer. Running that power running game is about will. I notice how certain cowboys defenders started to jump around blocks. Please don't hit me anymore Mr. Neal.

Everywhere he went he played an important role in their running game.

I think because he doesn't have traditional stats, he will not get in.

Re: Will Lorenzo Neal be elected to the Hall of Fame?

No.

Best blocking fullback (in an age where half the teams don't use fullbacks) is being pretty specific. The best backup fullback probably carries the same value in the league as an above average back up QB.

A hall of fame player to me is a player that, in his prime, would be a top 10-15 pick in a fantasy draft over the span of a few years and the MVP (or co-MVP in some situations) of his own team. I doubt Neal would be picked in the first 20 rounds, and at no point would he ever be considered a top 15 MVP on any of the teams he's been on (hence him playing for 7 franchises).
