I was originally a fan of LT and not so much the team because they weren't very good. I was 13 or 14 when I started watching football and that was around 03' or 04'(and I think they were the worst team that year or just really bad) I didn't care though because LT is all I wanted to see at first but the team grew on me and 6 or 7 years later I'm still waiting for that superbowl.
Holy ****, you basically typed out my own post for me to a tee. Kinda weird but pretty awesome at the same time.

As a side note, I was also a Falcons fan when I was younger. My reason for loving the Falcons at that time was because of Michael Vick. He was my favorite player (a slight edge over LT). It also helped that I like red and loved their re-designed unis/logo. Eventually after Vick left though I realized I just wasn't as emotionally attached to the Falcons as a fan as I was when Mike was playing for them, so that's why you don't see them in my sig. I'm happy to see them do good, but I realized I'm just not an actual fan of them.

The Chargers on the other hand, I find myself still caring about them even after LT left. I don't have a connection to the players just as players, but as Chargers players, if that makes sense.

I have to say, sometimes it is weird with the whole favorite team thing when you live in a city with basically no pro sports connection (other than the NHL) and grow up with pretty much no influence over a favorite team. At the same time, it is nice that I "found" my team myself and can hopefully hand it down if/when I have kids.

I was flipping threw the channels one day and and decided to try to watch some football because, I had just recently got into football movies especially after watching movies like "Any given Sunday"(my all time fav lol) and "Remember the Titans". And then I saw it...LT booty raped the Titans for about a buck twenty or buck fifity(somewhere in between there) and I was instantly hooked and like they say the rest is history lol.

I do follow the Titans a bit as they are kinda like a second team I root for except against SD if SD doesn't do anything but, I don't claim them and I am definitely no bandwagoner or I would have switched teams a loooong time ago(I would still slap Kaeding if I ever had the chance to see him). I am only emotional with the success of this team and even after all the failure and LT's departure I'm still here.

Keep clinging to that head-to-head all-time record for dear life.

That wasn't necessarily aimed at you, just all the Bears fans who think that stat somehow negates all the other categories we have the Bears beat in.

This isn't a "my team is better than your team" thread, so you can stop.

The Dallas Cowboys since 74, grew up in Chicago and the Bears were terrible so they would not come on tv. Cbs was showing the cowboys alot and when clint longley brought them back on thanksgiving day against the redskins I was hooked and will be until the day I die.

:rolls eyes:

Glad this thread didn't derail due to Bama/Auburn, at least.
