Re: Week 9: Bears @ Bills

Was there...was fun and a good game to go and watch.

Yes, there were about as many Bear's fans as there were Bills fans by the amount of gear/jersey wearing I saw and crowd reactions as the game played out.

Crowd got louder later in the game IMHO. A lot of empty seats in the house though. Tough sell with an 0h-no and 7 Bills. I know I got my tickets off SH this week at $50 off of face value.

While the crowd was fun it's still nothing like the atmosphere of being at a team's actual home game. And it was a bit subdued for the 1st bit because us poor Canucks were a bit confused. We're used to making that big noise on 2nd downs

Hinder. Tee-hee. My bud J who was with us said that was definitely a Memorex-Rock Band performance by them.

Rogers Centre is really, really starting to show A) it was built by the lowest bidder B) and is therefore showing it's age much, much earlier. TO needs a new mega stadium big time. But being it a government cheese project, I highly doubt we'll see that anytime soon.

From what I hear, yes, they want to expand the games in Toronto deal with the Bills playing multiple games in TO.

P.S. No idea why they didn't have the Dome open. Was an awesome day in TO weather wise. Sunny, fairly warm for November. Not very breezy. Shaggy?

I think he's just raw after the game when he said that. The Dome isn't the greatest baseball stadium but as a football stadium there's not a bad seat in the house.

Anyways, I was out most of the day but was able to catch some of the game. I must say this: "Why am I a Bills fan?" This has to be one of the most heart wrenching seasons i've ever gone through with this team. They don't deserve to be 0-8! This team should have at least 3 wins by now which still isn't great but at least it's better then a big fat "0".

I can't imagine how the players feel about it as well.

The turf looked like someone rolled out a 70's rug onto the field, the camera work was awful, and it is indoors. Feels like I'm watching a soulless MLB game.

Its a retractable stadium so it can be either out or in. And if you've watched a Jays game, you know that's what it exactly is.

The turf isn't the greatest. I have no idea where they got that turf from as it looks like shag carpeting.

It seems to me the US camera people don't know where to put the cameras as when I watch a CFL game from there the camerawork is much better.

As Piderman says, it's better when the roof is open.

I really don't know how many of these 3 pt loss games I can take. The team must honestly feel, no matter what they do they just can't get a W.

Why would Ralph do that? The Bills are making good money on this. In fact, I think the best option for NFL in Buffalo is to have an extended deal where perhaps 2-3 games are played on a permanent basis in Toronto. Otherwise I fear the Bills might move to LA.

I went to the game and the atmosphere was great. Maybe it didn't transfer over on TV.

Aside from a few bad breaks by the Bills, they played a good game. I'm glad they are picking up some key players this year (i.e. Merriman) as it will help them come draft time and FA time.

Re: Week 9: Bears @ Bills

How do you be so unbelievably bad over the years as much as Buffalo? I think they have good fans that support the team and show up for games but the ownership has to do something or move the Team! The Good Buffalo Bills fans don't need to be punished this badly. They can't ever get it together. It's gotta be torture being a Bills fan!
