2012 League Pass: Hopes, dreams, fears

This year's options according to nba.com:

1. TV/Broadband/Mobile

Watch live regular season games on your TV and online!
Early Bird Pricing
$179

2. Broadband Only

Watch live NBA games online!

Early Bird Prices Starting at
$26.99/mo

3. Mobile

Watch regular season games wherever you are!
Early Bird Pricing
$49.99

That $26.99 option on the Broadband only option is a bit misleading because that price only gets you five teams. In 2010 you could pick 7 teams for the cheaper price, so you're getting less this year. If you want to watch all 30 teams, it's $39.99/month.

I was really hoping mobile would stay at $40. Not sure if I'll get it or not.

How long does the early bird pricing last?

Think I might jump on the broadband option this year.

This is the first year I've even thought about maybe getting League Pass....if I do its all or nothing but that 179 price tag....hmmm.

5-team pricing was the same last year. I think I am getting 5-team again this year. I'm not sure I'd ever get the full League Pass because I don't really care to watch a lot of the teams. No offense to fans of these teams but I personally don't care to watch WAS/CHA/MIL/TOR/HOU/PHO/ORL/SAC, for example, and that's already 8 teams (over 25% of the league) off the top of my head. I'd hate to be paying for those with full LP and never watch them.

You can break the payment down in 4.

I kind of want to get League Pass this season, but hmmm. Is the $179 payment for the entire season?

Yes, for all 30 teams. Locally televised games will be blacked out on LP.
