So I suppose we can start this off with the news that it looks like Kobe is gonna try to give it a go tomorrow. Color me surprised

"It's not a surprise that he's going to play tomorrow, I called it a few days ago," Fisher said. "I don't know if it's as much about his physical ability to play through pain as it is his mentality capacity and strength. Your ability to focus has to be at an all-time high to push through certain levels of pain and still be effective and still be the kind of player that he's going to be."


Lakers coach Mike Brown said Bryant looked good in practice and he couldn't tell he was injured.

"He's done some things where he has not said one word and has just kept playing," Brown said. "Knowing what he's going through now, he's one of the toughest guys I've ever been around. It's a little surprising when you're around him to see how mentally and physically tough he is."

It should be interesting to see what type of defensive philosophy Mike Brown has the Lakers adopt. They have been horrible against quick point guards for years, so it should be interesting to see how they defend Rose in pick and roll situations.

Well they haven't really looked all that different defensively to me. IDK.

I can't wait to see how many dunks we'll see in that GS/LAC game. It's gonna be Lob City all over the bay tomorrow.

Yes sir. Mike Brown giving him a nod. I'm curious to see him play consistently with the starting unit, his stroke was what he apparently worked on over the lockout season (was taking 1k shots a day, for what it's worth), so it will be interesting to see. He executed well within the offense in the 2nd pre-season game. Kid will get eaten alive by all of the elite 3's in the league. Scary stuff.
