But where do you guys rank or value Chris Webber? In comparison to the other great power forwards, I feel his name just never gets mentioned.

I think in large part he was just so hyped coming out of college, basically expected to be the best PF ever, that his career ended up being somewhat of a let down. Even though most guys could only dream of having the career he did.. He ended playing past his prime which I think hurt him some as well, somewhat similar to how KG is now and Malone/Barkley ring chasing at the end of their careers.

During his prime stretch in Sacramento I always felt he was much closer to guys like Tim and KG than he was to guys like Rasheed and Brand. He put up an impressive 24/11/5 during his best 5 years stretch for the Kings and was basically a do it all type player, became a very solid defender as well..

Anyways where do you guys place him amongst other great PFs or even just the guys of his generation?

CWebb is extremely underrated imo, but I hate the top 10, top 15, etc. stuff so I wouldn't be one to bring him up. He doesn't deserve to be brought up with guys like Tim and KG who have rings, and guys like Barkley gets tied to the generation with Magic, Bird, Jordan, Ewing and the Dream Team. Webb is just kind of caught in the middle. I think he deserves to be mentioned with Barkley and Karl Malone personally. Not stating how I'd rank them but I think he belongs in that group.

Short primes kill a guy when it comes to the historical debates and nostalgia.

C-Webb was my favorite "next gen" guy back in the day, I loved him at UM and early in his NBA career. More than Shaq or Penny or any of those guys.

Sadly he got that loser/choker label and was never able to shake it. It was interesting watching him transition from a power player in college and his first few years in the league to more of a finesse player even before his injury. He was closer to Dirk & KG than he was to second-tier PF's IMO. He was definitely a Tier 1 PF during his short prime.

What-if's are pointless but man things would be crazy if the Kings managed to win the 2002 title. Webber, Dirk and KG all would have one ring, would lead to some interesting debates.

To me he's still the third best PF to enter the league since 1990 (I consider Duncan a center btw). Anthony Davis and Blake have a chance to pass him, we'll see.

He was like Ewing in a way, he was prime was too short and his body started failing him too early. Got knocked for never winning the big one. Two guys at his position were considered better than him (Dirk/KG) like Hakeem & Robinson were considered better than Ewing.

So you're saying that KG is the Clayton Bigsby of the NBA?

Could you hit me up on Twitter and give me some links to why you think like this? Saw a BR article but that just assumed a lot of stuff and since OS isn't a place we can really dig into this, I really want to hear/read your thoughts on this.

You want to report me because I called KG racist, throughout his career he's gotten in several fights especially, in the off season playing summer ball, Rick Rickert knows real well....
