Once again, for those of you in the back:

Show me one person who is mad because he left. Disappointed? Sure. Hurt? Maybe. But it is not because he left, we all knew that it was a possibility, especially after this last playoff "run".

People *at least in Cleveland* are angry that LeBron decided to do this on live TV. That LeBron had blatant disrespect towards the Cavaliers organization by not returning one phone call since the end of the season and by not letting them know before 9:20 pm the day of.

LeBron is free to go wherever he wants, just as I am, you are or really anyone is. But LeBron stepped over the line with this BS he pulled with the TV interview. You don't think it's disrespectful to Cleveland? Okay. I think it's incredibly disrespectful to go on national TV when he clearly knew he was not staying.

Why did he need to whore himself out to the entire nation? If he would have just released a piece of paper and went to Miami, no harm would have been done.

Instead, LeBron lit a match, dumped gas all over a dying man, pissed on him, then lit the fire. And to me, as a Cavalier fan, yes, I felt embarrassed. LeBron made Cleveland a BIGGER national joke than it already was.

Whenever Cleveland tries to make a comeback or win a title, we tend to flame out in incredible fashion. Add another notch on the belt.

Gary Payton Sonics failed
Reggie Miller Pacers failed
Stockton Malone Utah Jazz failed

KG failed

Kobe and Jordan had organizations behind them that allowed for them to stay and wait, big money teams. Lebron is suppose to build a dynasty in Cleveland? the guy is great and all but Cleveland is the next location of an NBA dynasty I'm not buying it. He knew it and being a student of the game and "knowing his history" why would he stay when he knows what happened to every other superstar playing on a small market team in the last 20 years.

If you have a chance to be on a potentially great team that has money to spend how do you turn it down?

Also, please tell me how him joining Miami is riding coattails?, Pat Riley bought Wade a championship and after that the last few years they have been not a good team. The comparison of Jordan joining the Pistons or Lakers is reaching. The Pistons and Lakers at the time were championship winning teams the heat barely made the playoffs. It's not like Wade had some powerhouse down in Miami by himself. Just a bunch of people with sour grapes today pilling on cause it's the thing to do.

And its not that small market teams can't win titles ,but that team could'nt.

Kobe already was ready to leave and if Jordan just kept losing I'm sure he would have left sooner or later.

What about Duncan? He plays in small market San Antonio and he's got four rings. That's not a few. In the NBA, that's plenty of rings.

Re: LeBron James Signs With Miami Heat

I agree with everything Dan Gilbert said except for Cleveland winning a championship before Miami, that is simply not true. I have zero respect for LeBron. When you have the kind of talent that LeBron has, you win with your own team, not go to someone elses. LeBron is basically saying that even though he has Jordan-like talent, that he'd rather be Scottie Pippen, what a true leader LeBron is! Why does LeBron get a free pass over this mindset yet the media has SKEWERED Vince Carter his entire career for the same thing? I also find it funny that LeBron said that he is going to "lead Miami to a championship", if he believes that then he's crazy, Miami is D-Wades team, LeBron is just a sidekick now. Besides, when has LeBron ever been a leader at anything except wanting to get tons of attention from the media?

Anybody that blames The Cavs for Lebron turning on them is way off base. Cleveland did everything LeBron asked them to do by acquiring guys like Mo Williams, Antwan Jamison, KEEPING Big Z (at LeBrons request), J.J. Hickson (lots of people in the league are very high on him), Resigning Sideshow Bob (again, at LeBrons request) and then LeBron turns his back on the franchise? That's wack man. At least Kobe stayed true to his word when the Lakers started making the kind of moves that he requested of them.

On top of all this, LeBron blows off messages from an owner who has been more that fair to him and his family? That's just plain arrogant and disrespectful. Then for the icing on the cake, LeBron throws an entire city/state under the bus on national television. I truly hope this Miami team is the second coming of the Rockets with Barkley, Pippen and Olajuwon and that they NEVER win even a playoff game. I guess the good thing for LeBron is that if Miami does make it to the playoffs, at least he has a real star that can take over for him for when he decides to shut it down like he did the last series this year.

Cleveland fans, and to a small extent Chicago, New York, and New Jersey fans are the only ones who have any reason to be angry at LeBron. The rest should be angry at the NBA for allowing this to happen.

Do we realize that the NBA's current CBA was just shredded to pieces by the Miami Heat? They just did the very thing that the CBA was designed to prevent.

You have been very level-headed about him leaving since Game 6 but you know folks can't go calling out any other posters anymore, lol. Not with the instabans these days.

I agree 100%. I have been there. I was coaching at a school that had not won a single game in its first five yeras. They gave me a chance to be a head coach when most would not let me coach the 9th grade team. I worked hard to change things. I spent hours with youth coaches and the middle school teams to build the program. I gave the money they paid me to coach back since I had a second income(own rental real estate). I became a hero in a small town but winning 10 games a year was not what drove me. I want to win state championship rings. So when a school that had a good program in place come calling I did what was best for me. I didn't want to leave the kids I had worked with for 5 years and move my family but in the end the change was what was best for me. I was told by my AD that I was "a worthless human", "would not pee on me if I was on fire" and so on. Then parients telling me "to watch my back" and "keep an eye on my family". They could not see that I had showed their kids they could win at life. I help jump start a program and it had more money in the pot then when I got there.
Unless someone can say they had to make a choice like he had to make then they can't be mad. The desire to win is a strong thing.
