Baseball Trivia (DONT ASK A QUESTION UNTIL YOU ANSWERED THE PREVIOUS ONE CORRECTLY)

I did a search for this and found one that was over 6 years old, so I figured I would start a new one.
If thats not ok, maybe the Mods can move this over to that one.

I consider myself a Baseball Aficionado. I always text my friends with trivia questions.
So I thought I would share some of that knowledge here and maybe learn some new things too.

So let's post questions to the thread and see if we can answer them.
The first person to answer correctly gets to post the next question.
Lets please try to take turns.

Obviously there is no prize for the most correct answers, so let's try to be fair to everyone else.
I'm sure everyone will get a chance.

The questions can be as easy or as obscure as you want them to be, but it is possible there may be many correct answers to certain questions, but please do not post a question/answer you're not 100% sure of.

If you have proof of an answer, posting that would help as well, but not mandatory.

Let's make this a fun and informative thread!

The person who answers correctly is up to ask the next question.
Lets please try and wait for a confirmation of the answer before posting the next question.

You may think your answer is right, but you may be missing something that you dont realize.

If you dont know it and you have to look it up, wait for someone who does know the answer.

Please.

READY?!

When Cal Ripken Jr. broke Gehrig's consecutive game streak, and played game 2131, who were the Oriloles playing and who were the 2 Starting Pitchers?

The first home run over the Green Monstah was hit by whom and on what date?

Bonus "points"- how many career home runs did that player retire with?

OK, need some clarification.

The Green Monster as we know of it today from 1947, or the "Green" Monster from 1912 to 1947.

Not that it helps me, because I dont know the answer either way!

Hugh Bradley. April 1912. I believe he only hit one more in his career for a grand total of 2.

I'm assuming that's what you're looking for even though it wasn't green until the 40s.

Lol bdolski got it. I always call it the Green Monster, even though when Bradley hit the HR it wasn't exactly green. And he did indeed have 2 career home runs.

You're up bdolski.
