2022 - 2023 Hot Stove Thread

Figured is time for this thread...

Saw on Twitter, so take this for what it's worth... Guy that posted it has a Giants insider, that insider told him 90-95% chance Aaron Judge signs with Giants.

Re: 2022 - 2023 Hot Stove Thread

Jays signed Schneider to a 3 year deal making him their full time manager.

There was some doubt among the real angry people but you can't blame him for the loss. Your bullpen had to be historically bad to lose that one, and they were. Not like he threw in some guys with a 6+ ERA for the remainder of the game.

The big question I want to know is if the rest of the coaching staff remains. The one change I'd make is get a new hitting coach. No reason why an offense like this couldn't perform more consistently.

Sounds like Joe Espada will be next White Sox manager.

I'm curious to see what happens with pitching coach Pete Walker who still has an outstanding impaired charge. If he pleads, or is found guilty after trial, will they feel they have to fire him? Or is there a double standard for coaching staff?

Don't forget this is the team that felt it had to get rid of closer Roberto Osuna after a domestic peace bond and we all know what happened to Roberto Alomar.

I thought Pete Walker’s DUI case was already resolved. I saw an article awhile ago that claimed he pleaded guilty and got a fine and community service.

I don't see that being fire worthy. If a player gets a DUI, are they getting released? No (unless they're some scrub).

If he injured someone while driving then that's a whole different story.

But a DUI isn't comparable at all to what Osuna or Alomar got busted for.
