I wish Atlanta could have Omar Infante back for Dan Uggla. I was so excited when the trade first happened, but now it is two years later and I wish we could trade Uggla for a PTBN or anything for that matter.

Okay he's not exactly my favorite player ever but, c'mon now. Let's stop saying things that we both know are complete fabrications.

Not even close...Uggla, as frustrating as he is, is one of my favorite guys on the team because he at least looks like he cares and I have NEVER not seen him hustle. He is more valuable than Infante...

That said, his lack of contact in ST is disconcerting, but we saw this coming. Bulky, power hitting middle infielders do not age gracefully. He is 32 and once the bat speed goes he's going to be done. It was a bad deal to give him 5 years to begin with...it is what it is.

I am all for the Braves trading Uggla for some PTBNL.

Dan Uggla had a WAR from 6.0 the past two years, and Omar Infante had a WAR of 5.9... To be fair most of Infante's value has come from his defense.

Don't get me wrong, I loved me some Infante and he's a great guy to have because of his versatility. The Braves have plenty of good glove, no-hit infielders though. Uggla's average to below average glove with some pop fits in just fine...now if he'll just bounce back and have a 4 WAR year I'll be happy.

Tigers are the opposite. We have lots of all bat, no glove infielders. I can't imagine having Uggla along with Miggy and Fielder.
