Message to Blue Jays fans; we're a good team, but you guys need to cool it. Let's start with hoping for a wild card.

If Reyes does better, Buerhle does better and Johnson doesn't get hurt, you guys could go all the way, then fail in beating the Dodgers...

Re: 2012-13 Hot Stove League Thread

I'm pretty excited to see how the AL turns out next year. The AL East is totally up for grabs and I could see any one of the five teams winning it. The West should be a battle to the end as well with Texas, LAA, and Oakland beating up on Seattle and Houston (although Seattle could be decent as well).

I expect Seattle to be legit contenders next year. But the Angels will win it IMO. Or Oakland could pull another year like last year!!! That's why I love baseball soooooooo much!!!

Just by adding the Astros to the division, the Mariners can easily pick up 10+ wins. I don't know the schedules of the other teams, but playing the Astros 19 times next year means the Mariners play the AL East 14 less times (18-28) and the AL Central 5 less times (3 less games against the White Sox alone, 1-8 against them last year). The Mariners terrible record against the West (24-33) will be offset by the addition of the Astros, and if we assume that they are just as bad next year (and the Mariners slightly improve against the teams they were horrid against), the Mariners could flirt with 90 wins. Of course the Angels, Rangers, and A's will now have the chance to be in the 100 win territory so it doesn't really matter lol.

Off season ant over yet my man, dont forget about Ackley rebounding from injury, Montero getting better. Plus Jack Z didnt even make a trade until January and that was for Montero.
