what does the future hold for Mark Prior?

recently the Rangers agreed to a deal with Mark Prior who was at one point one of if not the best young pitchers in the game. At 29 how do you think he will do?

I wonder if he will even make the major league team.

The future holds more independent league baseball.

I hope he can come back to the majors, doesn't have to be good in the majors but I just don't see it. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

The Pads signed him a few years back as a project, it never worked. The guy's career is all but over. He's never been healthy. I wonder what his fastball would be at by this point.

His health has failed him as a starter much the same way it did Kerry Wood. See if he would be open to being a bullpen guy.

Re: what does the future hold for Mark Prior?

Kerry Wood still has powerful stuff, but even with it, it's not like he's transformed into a great relief pitcher. He had a hugely overrated season closing for the Cubs, then signs to be a DL spot with the Indians.

Does Prior still have Wood's kind of velocity? I seriously doubt it.
