Mutant Football League Pre-Alpha Footage Surfaces

Blitz is the same feel I get from it. I'd rather they scrap the Mutant League and do a Blitz The League-style remake with this engine. I don't know, I'm just not too excited about Mutant League football. It was an okay game in 1993, but I just have reservations that mutant football has a place in today's gaming landscape, especially targeting AAA platforms.

As an aside, why 30 teams and not 32? I'm sure space is not an issue.

Anyway, love the guy's passion, I just think a talent like that could do wonders for football gaming--and lord knows we need it--but outside of this mutant business.

The weird indie game that I wish existed, but doesn't, is something like this, but with Football-playing Robots built with deep and detailed individual customization system and unforgiving physics on top of precise simulation gameplay.

A game with a building interface as detailed as Kerbal Space Program, building robots like those in Real Steel or Pacific Rim, playing football like that in 2K5/2K8

That's what I want. This looks awesome though, and maybe this will fill that niche.

They seem to have scrapped their initial plan to appear on 360/PS3.
