Okay, I played about 8 games on Madden 25, simmed through the rest of the season and did the offseason, then went back to 2K5. I am sad to say that I found 2K5 better and more fun in nearly every aspect. Defense was fun to play (no suction blocking), players seemed to play to their ratings, players move with the feeling of weight and momentum behind them, the whole draft module is fun (albeit with the obvious flaws). Just as a total package, this game is more polished, and more fun, than the product EA had 10 years to refine. Nothing makes me look less forward to the next generation of consoles than this fact.

2K5 definitely had its flaws, but what sports title doesn't. What 2K5 did have is epic presentation, good gameplay, and commentary. Madden to this day has not hit on all three of those. NBA 2K is living proof of this. Solid gameplay, though it has flaws, but great presentation and commentary, seriously the three man booth gets no better.

EA has had numerous years, but yet they fail. I still think 2K5 is the King, and until EA combines all three aspects, it will be second fettle.

Madden is not great, hasn't been in a long time but 2k5 is still so overrated, the gameplay was nothing that amazed me, players looked and moved like robots.

I think it depends on what You want.... If you want Nice Grafics then Madden is your game.. If you want Real onField gameplay, then Apf 2k8 is the game, tho at times 2k5 is very good. Better than ANY Madden..
2k5 has the best halftime show I guess.. Something I myself could care less about.. To me I want a game that Plays real ON FIELD..
Just take each game-madden, 2k5, 2k8 or any other. Break down the onfield play. O-Line, D-line DBs and so on.

Still no custom camera in Madden, and rumors are that next gen doesn't either.

I would like to add the last time I played this game, I was up 4 with seconds left in the 4th quarter and had to punt it away. Well my punt was blocked and returned for a TD by the comp and I lost by 3. Never in any game have I seen this happen but in NFL 2K5.

Little experiences like this set the 2k series apart from the rest.
