People pay upwards of $100 for 2k8 hoops

There is a demand for a new college basketball game. Perhaps the process EA is using for the football game will be a roadmap for another basketball game.

Several years ago, I paid around face value for both 2K8 and NCAA 10. Not surprised to see the prices go up, at least on 2K8's part. That game holds up so well 13 years later.

Hah! Today, I wiped the dust off of my ps3, felt like playing College Hoops 2k8 again, but once the XMB showed... I found myself lured into playing NBA 2k12.... the Legends Showcase challenges in cartoonstyle at Times Square!!! Hah, my brother joined immediately when he saw what was going on!

Hmmm and for 2K maybe it also has to do with the amount that where made. NBA 2k is more commonly available all over the globe. I always thought the Colllege games where mostly made for and sold in the USA... but correct me if Im wrong.
