Should there be two basketball titles?

I was thinking to myself in this age of high technology, is one Nba or Nfl game enough? Considering games now are around 50 gigs and usually split into 3 modes. One the replication of the sport.. Aka dynasty, franchise mode.. Many fans of these professional sports leagues solely turn to sports titles to indulge into something we can't in real life. This brings me to the second mode my player. This mode allows the gamer to first person play themselves into a real league. The third mode is online vs play. Which is the raw competitive play online between competitors. These three mode encompass most sports titles today.. My question to you is, should dynasty mode have it's own game? Separate from online & my player modes who should have their own separate title. These modes usually conflict and take away from one another when sharing one disk. It seems to usually short change fans of each particular genre while sharing the same disk. In turn hurting each of the gamers because of constraints on space and time. Would 2k and Ea be smart in making 2 separate titles with resources spent individually so the product functions in ways we all expect as consumers? Maybe something like 2k16 the league and 2k16 online. So separating online with offline.

If it meant I got a fully functioning online league experience with servers that worked I'd be all in and for it! Sell them each for 59.99 or Bundle it and put them both together for 89.99 or 99.99 and I'd buy it.

They obviously don't have the resources available to focus on all areas of the game they release. Some modes get love and others don't and go untouched. Regular rosters get love (for obvious reasons) while classic teams again go untouched. Hopefully all the new hires from the community shed some light on the guys in the inside as they have a pretty good pulse of what we want and need as they were one of us making fixes just months ago. At this point I'm not sure they have enough people to work on every mode in there game all year round which gives us unfinished or half *** modes. So, again if this meant we got extra TLC put into each mode we loved I'd be all for it.

Unfortunately this will never happen.

What about a basketball game that focus only on classic teams?

Having another title for basket ball will be great.Because double the title mean double the fun.

Without competition, the development could get stale, as is the sentiment and concern of many people who have bought 2K basketball games since LIVE went M.I.A. a few years ago. People today need to feel as though they had choices whether they are valid choices or not.

I am all for two titles being released, unless of course these companies form a new super team, under a new development company, and utilize the best of both ideas, release a free public and closed beta to the masses, and don't try to charge us for what could amount to roster updates under the guise of new or re-implemented features.

He's not taking about that. He's saying should each title separate into two instead of one monolithic title. Like Madden and Head Coach. As for the whole competition narrative, I think it's all bs. The companies don't get lazy. (Well, EA gets lazy) The users get fatigue. For that fatigue, it's best to have alternatives. Also, I'm sure rivals inspire new ideas in each other. So, yeah, competition is great!


Now, as for the actual question, first, you gimp the original title. Like Madden did in its franchise mode. People don't like that. Second, you're getting charged twice for the experience you had in one title. People HATE that. And you have to do this because you now need two separate teams. I don't see it happening.
