Help me decide please... Mogul or OOTP?

Im new to strictly sim games, which game is better and what does it have to offer...
Ouf of the Park baseball 09 or Baseball Mogul 09 ??

Personally, Im picturing a game that will have a customizable feel to it when it comes to options of difficulty, I know it will be a bit of a deep learning curve so it would help if I could start slow then add more to do later on.

Also Im big on media coverage like Newspapers, websites etc...

and is OOTP 9 only sold online? I know mogul is in stores...

I have played many table top, video and text based baseball games.For about 20 years or so I had been content with Dynasty League Baseball and a few days ago I did some "forum" searching about some text based baseball games. OOTP9 seamed very intriguing so I downloaded and installed it for $40. After spending about 10 hours messing around with the game and downloading modifications from the website I came to this conclusion.... This is the BEST baseball game I have ever played!!!!! I did own the last two installments of Mogul but there just seemed to be too many things missing to keep my interest. With OOTP9 I will tell you if it happens in real life baseball, it happens in this game. Non baseball related injuries, drug suspensions, bench clearing brawls and every Major League Baseball affiliated minor league team, which you can manage if you like, are just a few of the features in the game. My 13 year old son thought I was on a MLB website when he saw the screen. It was funny because we live in Milwaukee and of course, love the Brewers, and he saw one of the news headlines on our computer monitor and it read "Gallardo Suffers Career Ending Injury" and he disgustedly says "Oh no! His career is over, he's only 23!!!" I laughed and said relax, it's only a baseball sim. The mods for the game are very good and very easy to install as well. And if you like customizing your games, WOW there are unlimited things you can do to your "baseball universe" to meet your satisfaction.
I'm sorry, I'm getting all charged up describing this game so DEFINITELY purchase OOTP9. You can order a disc for an additional $12 but you won't need it. All the menus can be a little overwhelming at first but after a little time spent on the game, it will come together for you.

OOTP simply put really is the best possible baseball sim currently available for the PC. Will 2K's new GM game change that? I'm guessing not but we'll find out next month.

I am glad someone asked the question. The best text-based sim I ever played was Statis Pro Baseball by Avalon Hill for the Commodore 64. I haven't played any text-based sims since and have long wondered which sim is better.
