Like the title of the thread entails, what are some of your favorite theme parks and rides?

My hometown is where the original six flags is at and I enjoyed going there as a child. We also have a waterpark next to it and that was fun too. Other than that and a few state fairs Im not sure Ive been to another amusement park besides Disney World.

Space Mountain at Disney World. It's an indoor roller coaster that is pretty dark with lots of light effects. Though the 1st time I went on it with my mom and sister it came to an ermgency stop and all the lights came on because someone opened an emergency exit. Fortunately we were right near the end when it happened so an attendant just came and pushed our car to the end where we were able to get off. My mom and I are both afraid of heights so definitely glad we weren't still near the top when it happened. No idea how long the ride was stopped for.

Re: Favorite Theme Parks/Rides

I don't have a favorite but I can tell you one thing, no one will ever get me on the Goliath at the Georgia Six Flags ever again. my son & sister talked me into it against my better judgement. it truly is the only ride I didn't find anything enjoyable about. my eyes were shut almost from the beginning. pure terror. good thing I rode it near the end of the day because the last hour or two we were there I was not a happy camper. I've so successfully blocked it from my memory I've never had a nightmare that I was on it again. and after I rode it I was positive it would creep into my dreams for the rest of my life.

Thunder Road at Carowinds on the NC/SC border.

It's an old wooden roller coaster that you can ride forward or backwards. The lap belts never click right enough so there are some bumps where you fly out of the seat a bit. It's terrifyingly fun

Re: Favorite Theme Parks/Rides

Would love to go to Cedar Point someday.

I love Six Flags Magic Mountain, though. Tatsu is amazing. Second flying roller coaster I've been on, since Stealth was the first one at Great America (now closed down).

Top Gun (erm, Flight Deck) at Six Flags Great America is also wonderful, too.

It looks like the same Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and that's a fun ride. I always nearly black out at this one turn part, though.

yeah, it's the first last & only time I've ridden a hypercoaster. I think 150 foot might be my limit. when you start getting to a couple hundred feet high, that's when **** gets real & stops being ''fun'' (IMO)

then again, on the other hand, I'm looking at this Kingda Ka, and even though it's an ungodly 450' high, it's over in under 30 seconds and I actually think I'd prefer that to Georgia Goliath's 3 & a half minutes and 200 foot height.

also, I'm looking at Magic Mountain Goliath and Georgia Goliath is positively David compared to Magic Mountain Goliath
