BTTF2 Nikes = Hyperdunk?

Do you guys remember the Nike shoes from Back to the Future 2? Every time I say a pair of white-gray Hyperdunks I think of the BTTF 2 Nikes.

BTTF2 Nikes:

Hyperdunks:

And Kobe's Olympic Hyperdunks:

Lol pretty close isn't it!

They just need those self tightening laces and they'd be close to identical.

Yeah, those laces were great! Looking at the way shoes look today, I think we're almost there. 2015 can become reality.

That is awesome. I want a pair. Give me my mini pizza that grows fullsize in the microwave and I will call the 2010's a success, even if we don't 't get the hover car. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Of course it influenced the HD's, there's a reason why Nike released the McFly colorway.

I wouldn't exactly say the Back to the Future ode is common knowledge but yes, the Hyperdunks were influenced by those shoes and a BTTF special was released. I bought a pair of Hyperdunks admittedly because of the BTTF connection.

Kobe Bryant at the Hyperdunk release

As an aside, I loved my Hyperdunks but after a particularly hard cut, I felt one shoe had begun to tear or rip (in the sky blue area of the shoe I posted). I have not worn them since and was wondering if anyone had a quick fix, solution or suggestion as a means to limit further damage.

I swear I had no idea about the BTTF edition. Never seen these ones.
