Older games you like that not many people talk about anymore?

What are some older games you like that you see not get too much attention anymore? I remember I really liked Naughty Bear on the PS3 and even preordered it lol but I still like it. It's not very good but it's funny. Another one is Fat Princess this game was popular but it seems to be almost forgotten I think. Saints Row 2 is another one like that too. Another one I like is Deadly Premonition. I feel this game is somewhat talked about but I like the story it is very much like Twin Peaks.

Not really that old, but Mad Max is still one of the more underrated games over the last few gens.

Oni on the PS2 was a blast to play and I practically never see that game brought up ever in any regard.

Earthbound on Super Nintendo. Up until a couple of years ago, I did a replay once a year when it was slow at work.

I just beat Mad Max. I was looking for a game to play and noticed Mad Max on ACG’s YouTube page.

I agree with your sentiment. It’s a GREAT game. The only negative is the activities can become a bit redundant, but the combat, graphics, music, and characters are top notch.

I recommend Mad Max to anyone.

I'm going in the way back machine here....

Defense Grid - it is a tower defense game that fills some of the void of RTS. Played it last year and loved it. Came out in like 2007. Lots of strategy, fun, challenging maps and a great community.

Rise of Nations - another RTS game from the early 2000s. I played it some back in the day but have been getting back into this and Age of Empires recently. The gameplay is time tested and classic. And with skirmish modes there is unlimited replayability.

FTL - I think this game is 8 years old now? Another neat indie game I picked up for $2.50 on a sale a year or so ago. The gameplay is simple, but deep. You are a ship captain navigating through space carrying a message to the Federation. You manage your crew through different star systems and have to manage resources, battles, upgrading/repairing your ship. It's all done in a simple way that lacks complexity, but still has great depth. And it is a game you can dip in and out of for short bursts of time. Almost unlimited replayability.

Rise of Nations was fantastic. Any of those old RTS games like Command & Conquer, Red Alert (loved the awesomely bad FMVs with Kari Wuhrer as Tonya), and the Battle for Middle-Earth games.

This is probably too recent, but I loved the Sly Cooper games. They were well received, but didn't have the long life of Crash and Ratchet & Clank.

My group of HS friends played the hell out of Age of Empires and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. Loved those games.

I'll second Saints Row 2. I still cannot believe they literally have a mission where you shoot **** onto buildings to lower their real estate value lol.
