Weren't they quite adamant about the Viking leak not being true? They really just wanted the announcement on their own terms I guess.

I see a lot of people saying they hope it goes back to the "classic" Assassin's Creed gameplay with less RPG elements. Why is that so? Why do people want less options? I don't care either way which way they take the series I'm just curious

Wow, I usually don't care for the Viking stuff but that looked amazing!

The past couple had huge open worlds (Origins and Odyssey), so I’m assuming this one will be no different.

Yeah this one seem to be a little bit more RPG tactics based with settlement building, hunting, fishing, drinking, dice playing, Viking rap battles, recruiting. You can even form alliances.
