Do Steam or Windows store games do preloads? I don't think I've ever had one that did on Steam, and I've had very limited experience with the Windows store.

But what experience I did have with it (Phantasy Star Online 2) was an absolute nightmare. Hope for you guys' sake that you bought Flight Sim off Steam, or that you at least don't run into all the crap I did....

Curious to hear what the game's like. Is it just total sandbox or is there some kind of structure to the game overall?

Downloaded the whole thing overnight only to have it not work because my computer doesn't meet the minimum specs.

Edit: Got it to work once, did some tutorial flights, loved it but then it crashed and I haven't been able to get it to work again.

From what I understand, right now it is total sandbox. Select a destination and go. There are some kind of challenges like landing in a strong headwind or something like that, but there isn't anything like "take cargo to Las Vegas".

I've seen a number of reviews that the ideal system for this game is not for the faint of heart. I think it was IGN who reported that they had some frame drops with a 2080ti


Game does look awesome. I'm waiting to find a flight stick I like for a good price before buying.
