Little Big Planet 3

I thought this was have a thread by now but this week has been absolutely crazy for releases. I've read a few reviews and its universally looked at as a decent-good game that is just missing greatness. Any OS impressions?

Yeah, I was thinking about making a thread, but I've been searching to see if there was an existing thread. I could have sworn there was one, but I couldn't find one. The game has the same old LBP fun with much more tools to use in the creator. Can't wait for created levels to start pumping out. If you enjoyed the previous games, this is no different.

The only issue I have with the game currently is that coop is broken, local and online. Visitors do not have their level progress saved, only the host. I played through a bunch of levels last night with some friends and none of my progress except for stickers saved. I'm sure this will be fixed with a patch soon, but I'm shocked how such a basic function of this game doesn't work. All it takes to discover this save bug is to play two sessions of coop.

Coop is my biggest thing with these games...I might hold off if there are issues.

Re: Little Big Planet 3

As a big LBP fan it's a must buy..
I haven't gotten far but it's pure LBP fun.
Haven't finished all the tutorials yet and advanced much due to DA:I but plan to play a lot tonight.

They incorporated the editing tutorial into a planet of puzzles instead of just a short tutorial video then you copy what the video did. Called Popit Puzzles ..or something like that.

So basically there is a planet all on it's own that have puzzles/levels that you have to use the editing tools to complete.. (Example: Use the popit to rotate an object so you can climb it.. or use the cut away button to cut hole in wall that's blocking you)

They game also will import all your stuff from LBP 1 and 2

Haven't done the co-op yet so hopefully issues are fixed quickly.

If I recall correctly, this was the case with LBP and LBP 2 as well. I think you have to create the account with 1P first, then you can load everything from there. Or am I misremembering that?

Re: Little Big Planet 3

I'm not sure what you mean.

I finished all of oddsocks levels while my friend hosted the game. I come back to my world and all the levels I just completed are locked. As I start making my way through them again, all the sticker bubbles are empty, meaning only my stickers collected saved. It sure wasn't like that in the past games.

I was thinking of something else, then. When we played LBP 1 and 2, my sister would create a character with a guest account, but it wouldn't save unless she first created it on the host account. I believe whatever she loaded, though, would save after a playthrough.

Re: Little Big Planet 3

Reading around online there's apparently a bunch of issues with the co-op and DLC not working. Sounds pretty busted online at the moment. Seems too common so far this generation.
