dang, I need 10 more Strange coins to get that auto-rifle. need to do that weekly strike on level 28 to get 9 coins, then try and find 1 more somewhere.

You mean they envisioned people to enjoy challenges and have a real sense of accomplishment in their game? They didn't "do away" with the loot cave as if it was meant to be there. You have to understand that Bungie has a TON of more content, more difficult stuff, better rewards, etc moving forward.. and they have to pace it out, which means pacing out how fast you can hit your "god mode" in this game. Could you imagine 95% of the server popluation running around with best in slot and best in class gear fully decked out? THAT would temper my excitement for the game... then again I'm from the old school where games like Dark Souls, etc I find to be refreshing in the world of Pay 60.00 for our game, pay 79.99 for it and get epiced out in two days and beat our game over a weekend.

There's not going to be a "Destiny 2".. this game will keep getting new content and expansions, more "dungeons" bosses, raids, gear, etc for months and probably years to come, just like most actual MMO's and because of that, this is exactly why you cant just get full on god mode gear a week into the game. Some people won't be able to handle Destiny and the grind and the work needed to be put in but I don't think Bungie was after those people anyways. Those people are the reason why WoW threw up the white flag, made the game EZ mode where leveling and gear is concerend and WoW has been on the decline ever since. For those of you that get what I'm saying, I hope I find you in game so we can explore, shoot, kill, loot and dominate for months and years to come. For those of you with a "mellinial sense of entitlement" attitude to the game, there are tons of other games out there where you can get cheat codes or pay 20.00 to epic your guy out two days in. Go there, have your fun and leave Destiny to the real men.. *ahem* and women.

You sure don't need to do that. It carries over from game to game and the bounty will tell you your spread. After my first game I was +6, after my second I was +12 and finished it in my third game. A tip: If you're on the moon, grab the tank and you'll hit it.

SWEEEET!!!!! My weekend plans are as follows:

Get home from work
Get into boxers and t-shirt
Turn off cellphone AFTER hot wings have been delivered (driver might need directions)
Grind tiger strikes for endgrams, rep, marks, and if lucky... coins.
Grind the weekly strike for coins.
Continue my quest for the Holy Shotgun lol
Skip showering
Skip shaving
Look in the mirror sunday night at the homless looking bum I have become.
Cry that I have to go to bed and get up for work Monday....
Stay up sunday night until 4am to extend my weekend.
Wake up monday and pay for it.

Funny the last expedition to the Loot cave before the update I got a Legendary Engram which turned out to me my first exotic weapon. Unfortunately it's a pistol. It's called "Hawkmoon."

I figure I'll store it and dismantle it eventually. I also got a purple Fusion Rifle which I dismantled because the charge time was horrible. Instant death to your self in the crucible.

And of course picked up the Queen's Guard Robes on the mission to Russia. Too easy to pass up.

For the 5 strikes, hit up the Devil's Lair. You finish Step 1 in about 25-30 minutes based on level. Do the PVP. Step 3 is to do the weekly strike so hold off doing it for coins unless u want to do it a 2nd time ha.

I think the general mindset of gaming plays into whether or not you "like" this game, or whether certain aspects"bother" certain people. I know this isn't Halo but I'm using it as an analogy.

I have played every one, and not once did I buy it for the story (as good as it was). I bought it with full intention of playing the crap out of MP. Therefore, I will never find Crucible in Destiny as a "grind". Preference is preference and there's nothing wrong with not wanting to play the multi-player. I personally love it and will continue playing it the majority of my gaming time with this game.

Having said all that me and my 2 buddies have been enjoying the hell out of missions and strikes. The fact that we can get on whenever and play any mission on any given planet together is an absolute blast. There arent many games out there that offer such a seamless amount of co-op and fun.

The whole gear thing boggles my mind. The whole point is to constantly be upgrading, especially come dlc. There's never a true "end" to this game, from what I've gathered from Bungie, and that is the beauty of it all. What's the point of hitting max as fast as possible just to be annoyed you have nothing more to do? Outside of a lackluster "story" this game offers the best of all world's IMO. Play solo, or co-op with randoms/friend's or play MP. What more is there?
