First Game You Beat?

I've been playing games since the 2600 days and it took a while before I had the time/patience to beat a game.
the game?

FF VII

Multiple discs of somethinglike I had never seen nor played before.
usually I die out on a game LONG before the ending. But that one hooked me.
I never finished a FF since.
Beating that game is saying something.
As a point of reference, i LOVE the GTA games and still havent completed one of those.
i am a sports gamer first and foremost and thats where most of my time goes.

What was the first game you beat?

Not including games that you 'flipped'.
remember that term, for games that never ended but was considered 'beaten' when you flipped the score back to zero?

Kid Icarus on the original NES... Still love that game.

You had me stumped for a few minutes. I actually couldn't remember the first game I beat but it just clicked in...

Starfox 64

I'd say it was probably Cruisin' USA or Mario Kart 64. I didn't really start truly finishing games till the Xbox.

Second game I beat was Mortal Kombat 3. Motaro and Shao Kahn were unbelievably cheap, and it took me maybe fifty tries to beat them both.
