I thought this actually looked pretty good

It does look very good but unfortunately for me, it's in 1st-person only. If they announce a 3rd-person addition, I'm in. Sabre Interactive will probably follow Insurgency Sandstorm's realistic maps. Their attention to detail of the environment was A+ in that game so I would have confidence they can replicate a jungle/island.

This. I just can't get into 1st person gamers. It should for more immersive, but I always prefer 3rd person, no matter the genre. Really hoping for a 3rd person mode because this could be awesome.

Seems pretty hard to know if it really looks like anything more than a cinematic trailer. Like 3 seconds of gameplay that looks kinda cut scenish at the very end.

No release date and primarily a cinematic trailer makes me think this game is still a ways off. Kind of disappointing, but about par for the course when it comes to games nowadays.

That being said, I hope this game is good whenever it does come out. A game like alien isolation but with dinosaurs seems like it would go insanely hard if the studio hits the landing.

I would buy a ton more games if they were in 3rd person. 1st person takes away from being sucked into games for me.

Game didn't look like it was going to go thru when Saber Interactive was sold back in Feb. I was just wondering about it's status and got this good report

Hey, maybe 3rd person can still be in the cards. Lots of goodies in here. We'll see if some kind of announcement is made during either the Sony or Microsoft Presentations.
