Which game had best Franchise mode?

Ok so I know this is a bit late being as NHL 11 and NHL2k11 are both coming out soon, but I am looking to pick up either NHL 10 or NHL 2k10 on the cheap I like to play offline franchise and I like to play the games, not sim them. So now almost a year later after updates and sliders which of these two games would be best for me.

My concern with NHL 10 is the freezing issue I have read about. Does it still freeze in Be a GM now after all the patches (for PS3)

My concern with NHL 2k10 is with the game play. Do the sliders allow me to have a solid game? I don't really care about the other leagues or accurate players in franchise so that doesn't kill 2k for me. However I do care about player progression.

I appreciate the input and help figuring out which of these two to get!!

From my experiences I've only froze when I've been sitting in the Online Lobbies for too long, you know for five minutes. I don't have any experience for NHL 2k10, so I'll allow someone else to answer the rest for you.

i have never played nhl 10. i have a thread going about how much i enjoyed 2k10 franchise this season. i played all but 3 games. the progression for me has been great.

xbox 360 supposedly fixed some problems, but the ps3 has not been patched. i did not play it before the patch.

i downloaded someones sliders and i have never had more fun with a franchise.

the overall gm mode is not as advanced as other sports. there are not the tons of options like some other sports. there is no in season scouting. you cannot tell if people are progressively fatigued, though it does seem like it is in the game.

but in positive mode, the players do feel different and play different. after playing all the games, i see why i need enforcers, power forwards, offensive defensivemen and utility guys. you need role players with your stars or you lose.

the blog feature is a blast. not to plug my blog, but check out the sig and see what the game allows. i know few if any read it, but it does add depth. for me, it is like a log of my notes and observations over the course of the season.

there is a good game to play if you take the time. you may not see that for a few games, but once you do it might be a satisfying experience for you.
