Any luck with wrap arounds?

I almost did it last night on accident. I was behind the net and hit the shoot button and I think it triggered a wrap around animation. It got stoned but was still sweet. I've tried doing it again with no luck. Little help here

Re: Any luck with wrap arounds?

I've had them scored on me by the CPU a few times. I'm usually looking to pass from behind the net and only even try a wraparound when the goalie is clearly out of position. But maybe I should attempt more, they can leave some juicy rebounds if you have teammates crashing the net.

This is a bit off topic, but I'm absolutely addicted to this game right now. I played 7 seasons on NHL 2k7, but I never really had so much fun playing that as I do playing NHL 2k10. It delivers on every level for me.

Wraps work real good with great fast skaters. Marleau and Heatley are deadly for me!

Do I just hit the shoot button when I'm behind the net or is there something else I need to do? I don't know how I did it and can't seem to do it again.

Nope, when you go skate behind the net push up on the stick, they will go into a wrap around animation. It is really sweet looking too.

Up on the directional stick or my right stick?

Hm, I do it from memory. I believe it is the right stick. Try it with the right stick first.

I assume it's the right stick, since that's the stick that allows you to shoot. I use the "Standard" controls (default), so I use both the Square (X, for X360) button and right stick to shoot. I know you can use the Square button to attempt the wraparound if you're using the same controls as me.
