Roster updates for 2K8?

I have 2K9 NHL, but must admit I'm not a fan, however, I was going to try 2K8 instead and see how that is. I've heard from many they prefer the year older version. Anyway, before buying this: are there current roster updates available for it?
I like the deeper franchise mode the 2K series has vs EA's simpler mode, though EA's gameplay seems a lot more fluid.

Apparently, you can't post rosters due to the profiles....

I've got up to rosters with tons of prospects from the last couple drafts and pretty much 90% of all AHL call ups...

I'd be happy to copy my roster onto an Xbox 360 memory card for you- but I think you have to create a profile with the same name...send me a private message if you want.....
