Noah Wyoming

I've taken a 5 month hiatus from the game, and I'm ready to start a new career. I'm still unsure what team I want to use and still debating which draft path to take. But when I starting looking over my previous draft sheets, I came across Noah Wyoming. Have you ever had him? Is he worth building a franchise around? Is he really as good as who he is suppose to be (Joe Montana)?

I see many things about some of the other QBs, such as Marrow, English, James, Zazzali, Riley, and etc but I have not seen anything about Wyoming on these forums. What do you think of him?

Re: Noah Wyoming

he's active in my league right now. he's above average, but he isn't a hall of fame level QB. he's not the 2nd coming of Joe Montana, even if he's "supposed to be".

Think Ben Rothlisberger. really solid, but not in the top elite tier. You can base a team on him, and he'll be solid, but he isn't going to be on anybody's "best of all time" lists like English or Zazzali (or my boy Morrow) will be.

Re: Noah Wyoming

He can be a HOF QB depending on how you build around him. I won three straight Superbowls with him (and Gruden made it a 4th when I left). I was using the Shanahan system, and with his rocket arm and my 1,500 yard per year run game with Ozzie, my offense was balanced (naturally I had a stacked D).

However, he is nothing like Joe Montana. He has a rocket arm (I got it to 99 THP) and solid accuracy/awareness. The thing is, he can be had in the early second a la Drew Brees; so you can get Ozzie in the first and Wyoming in the second. Although, if you have a high 1st, Joe Kain is significantly better (Hammermill had him and McFadden in that same chise ).

He's a decent option (92/93) POT as pure passer, but you can do better. Andre Woodson and Josh Johnson are both better options in 2008.

The main reason I've never used Wyoming for long, is Tristan Riley comes the next year. Riley can be had later in the draft, and has a higher potential in field general or pure passer.

Ya I decided to not try the Wyoming experiment and I've already done franchises with Woodson and Johnson.

I haven't had much time to play so I'm only at the '10 draft and I'm considering taking Talon Tolliver. If I choose not to take him or can't then I'm definitely going to take Riley next year.

Re: Noah Wyoming

like I said, the thing about Tristan Riley is that i usually draft him in the last 2nd or early 3rd round (i ususally elect to draft him in the 2nd so i can still get 5 years on his contract, totally worth it given the size of QB contracts). Talon Tolliver usually goes top 10 overall, if not 1st.
