Playbook knowledge and season goals

What is the best way to get a players playbook knowledge up? I had to get Mayo, Gamble, and McKelvin's playbook knowledge up by around 25% each before preseason ends. I am on gameday of week 4 in preseason and I am at most 4% away for each of them. So is there, if any, a way to get those last few percents up from the position I am in?

And these leads to my second question. If I don't get those goals done with play knowledge I will lose a lot of approval from coach's. Should I worry and is it easy or hard to get their approval back up?

Thanks for all and any help.

Don't know if it will work in Week 4, but here's what I do:

1. Super-sim Game 4 right up until the end of the game, then exit.

2. Save the game

3. Check to see if play knowledge has improved from the previous game. If it has, super-sim game 4 again. Keep doing it until you meet the season goals.

The 1st practice before the regular season game will also help to improve play knowledge goals, but you better be within 1% for it to work.

As far as approval, simply win the games. I'd also get the special skills Charm and Charisma; both have a positive effect on your approval.

Re: Playbook knowledge and season goals

As the old saying goes, winning solves everything. I rarely worry much about preseason goals. Winning games raises approval that you might lose in preseason. Also, a few Defining Moments can skyrocket approval ratings as well.

For the most part, approval doesn't much matter until towards the end of the season. You can actually have 0 approval almost across the board, play the last 2-3 games and do every Defining Moment they give you, and you'll have approval to spare at the end of the season.

The best way to get playbook knowledge up is to have smart players and just run the plays in the games. Players with low intelligence will never make those goals. They just can't learn the plays fast enough. If you really want to try and gain thos goals though, just run plays regardless of game situations in pre-season games. Run plays until they get to Learned status, and if you have too, keep some players in for the whole game so they get more experience running the plays.
