Making a Sweetney draft guide

If anybody has used my 2008 draft guide, this one will be similar. I am 95% done with year 2 and just have to finish year 1 as well.

Here is what this guide contains:
1. Player names (including which ones are randomized)
2. Colleges
3. Potentials for every philosophy
4. I highlighted certain potentials based on who could be a potential sleeper. 85-89 = yellow, and 90+ = green. Additionally I highlighted the 'Future 50' players a completely different color.
5. When I release it, it will contain the first 2 years of the Sweetney draft path.

I want your input, so I have a couple of questions.

1. Some names are randomized, so I have the players' colleges there (which remain constant). I'm hesitant to put the player comparison as it is kind of redundant and I don't want to clutter the spreadsheet up with too many unnecessary information. If you guys really want it, I could add it in.

2. Do you want me to highlight all the high potential players? Right now I only have done the potential sleepers, but if you want me to do everything then I can. I kinda wanted to avoid a spreadsheet that is filled with a whole rainbow of colors.

3. I could pick a few standout players from each year and do a seperate worksheet that contains ALL of their ratings, durability, height, weight, etc. What do you guys think about that idea?

I don't think you need to do any of the extra things really. I know I go in and run my own highlighting scheme's to the guides I've seen so far.

BTW, thanks for the effort.

Re: Making a Sweetney draft guide

Just clarifying here, is there already a guide for the 1st year of the Sweetney draft? I don't want to waste my time gathering the info for the 1st year if it's already there.

Re: Making a Sweetney draft guide

I guess you're right. I'll add player comparisons. If people don't need/want them, then they can just delete the column.

I might do a mock draft, but I want to know how to go about that. For 1 mock draft I will do it when everyone is uniformly at 66% scouted (default after combine). And I'll do another mock draft scouting normally. This is what I did in my 2008 draft. I'm a little unsure if your scouting actually affects other teams' picks as well.

Yeah, I kept reading that your scouting tipped off other teams, but I haven't run any tests to see if it appears to be true. I'm having a hard enough time obsessing over getting the best coaching staff I can put together. I hate with white hot passion the coach hiring part of this game.
