How to do a renogotiation of a players contract?

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm probably an idiot and just didn't see it but just curious?

They have to come to you. You can not start it yourself like in the 06 version.

I've played quite a few seasons and haven't seen any yet. I did have some players with expiring contracts that never popped up on the clipboard though for some reason. Lamar Woodley was one of them so that was Kind of frustrating.

I have sim'd a few years with the steelers and if you are having a down year he tells you he will not resign. So I traded him.... Did you check the player status page?
