They really should have taken the cover players out of packs when those challenges were done. The market is over saturated with players like Woodson.

Yeah pretty much because the new fantasy cards are undesirable.

Yep. Seeing 5 Woodsons now is much more common than I'd like. 3-3-5 Cover zero - press. Win. Rinse. Repeat.

Re: Stacked Teams

So far I've been able to score on a team with multiple woodsons. The problem I have run into is a team that has a lineup of 5 joekels (or 3 joekels and 2 zeiters) and a rb with high trucking, usually CV Ricky.

I can't get them off the field, and they completely run the clock, I'm lucky to get more than my one possession.

Last night against one guy, i had him in 3rd and 8ish a couple times and 4th and 4ish a couple times, but if I came out in goal line, he threw a little pass 4 yard pass to Marcellus Bennett that I couldn't start.

Key here is bringing your guys up to the line of scrimmage (R1 i think) and having CB's who can make tackles (Woodson and the MVP ones).

Against that style of offense - you need to gamble some. Turn your hit power and strip functions to aggressive - Cover Ricky will fumble occasionally. Call a variety of blitzs in different areas - blitzing from the outside some and from the inside some. They key to stopping this is to make one play that forces the guy into an obvious passing situation (3rd and long or 4th and long). Since the opponent has no interest in making plays greater than 5 yards (since he's running clock) you don't have to worry about him breaking a big play.

Creating turnovers and big plays in the key to defense and the key to beating these top teams. Throw all sorts of different looks at the guy.

As to the OP, yes cover players are a dime and dozen and basically ruined the game (and MVP's will drive it in further). They never should have been handed out for free just for winning a game against the computer (even if it was just Harrington or Matt Ryan). Should have been a pack like the Most Feared that only gave out a player 20% of the time. They bottomed out the RB, QB, DE, WR and CB markets because they are so abundant.

I did have those set to aggressive, and he did fumble once. Unfortunately, he fumbled out of bounds.

I actually got a huge sack on 2nd and 8 (with Whitney Mercilus) which made it 3rd and 22, but he went 5 wide and beat my quarters spy defense. Desmond Howard somehow got a ton of separation from Woodson. Then he has 4th and 4 and threw to Bennett whom I had covered, but he made the catch anyway.

Edit to add: I forgot to mention that he also had Shaun Alexander and was swapping him with Ricky to keep them fresh.
