Re: Matt10's Heisman Sliders (PS3)

You're talking about USER and CPU run blocking, right? Im using 20 for user and 50 for cpu like these sliders said. It's a big challenge, but I think Im going to stick with it because it's that much better when you do well rushing. I just lost a frustrating game, it was insane. I was Penn State & Lost, yet, outplayed Georgie Tech. I was curious as to how their option game was, and it wasn't too effective. I lost 14-12 & one of their TDs was a fumble return for 6. My FG kicker was 1-3 on fg's and missed the game winner at the end...

No, I'm talking about Human Run Block/CPU Run Defense. This came about for me because of the outside run cheat that the Human player enjoys. Of all the ones I've used 20/40 has been the best.

Re: Matt10's Heisman Sliders (PS3)

Sorry Matt10, as much as I wanted to, I cannot use these sliders. My fears about Heisman mode were correct, with sliders or not, the game "cheats" for the CPU.

I went in the half as Cal down 28-14 to Stanford. Yes, respectable score, but the score didn't tell the story of the game.

Andrew Luck went into the half 18-18 with 204 YDS and 3 TD's.

Their running back had 15 carries for 152 yards and a TD. He averaged about 8 yards a play.

I got NO pressure, and I mean ZERO, and when I did Luck got those eyes in the back of his head again and FIRED the ball out of a cannon (I swear it wasn't his arm) to an open receiver on EVERY pass play.

Now don't call me a genius or anything, but Cal has a B- in defense in this game I believe, and they're not THAT bad. Hell, no respectable D-I team is THAT bad.

No matter what D I ran, no matter what, I could not get pressure, a receiver was open EVERY SINGLE PLAY, O and when I did make that one third down stop, of COURSE my player gets called for facemask to give Stanford the first down.

I had to quit at halftime to keep from getting angry at the way things were unfolding. Heisman mode is BS plain and simple, but I am glad others are enjoying your slider set.

Re: Matt10's Heisman Sliders (PS3)

Unfortunately, I'm really not a fan of your sliders. I was playing with UNC hosting UVA. I thought the user run game was very good. But, the user passing game was horrendous for me and CPU numbers were ok, they couldn't run or pass well, but it's against a good UNC defense so I won't make judgments on them quite yet.
So UNC has a B offense and UVA has a B defense. So I was expecting a pretty even game on that side of the ball. But what I got...
I couldn't even finish the game, I was getting SO pissed off. It was impossible to throw ball downfield at all. It seemed like everytime I had a man open I'd get hit and throw one of those lame ducks. My final numbers were something like 11/30 with TJ Yates (I didn't finish the game). I couldn't even complete short throws. I was just getting too frustrated with the game. Ended up throwing my controller and the gray thing on the bottom popped out, I'll let you pay for a new controller
But anyways, I thought the user running game was decent but the user passing game... couldn't do it.
Thanks anyways.

To each their own on their opinion on the sliders....as far as the passing game goes you really have to look at the cpu Defense at the time before u snap the ball and make a decision on run or pass audible.....

I've had several long bombs with a C rated team and was very succesful in the passing game even though I lost......

Not only you have to be a player but your mind has to view the field and be a Coach... I hopes this helps.....Great sliders thou

Yeah to each is own. Cause personally I think the passing sliders he has it is too easy to pass (currently have mine on 35 for QB accuracy and 40 for pass blocking). Like I said in a previous thread sliders are meant to go around the way you play the game. Make the game harder against your strengths and a little easier against your weakness to make it a complete game.

Finished my third year in dynasty with Cincinnati and with a 70 overall QB and a team overall of a C+ still had over a 1,000 yard rusher (he was a 94 overall and missed 4 games) and my QB Kater had these stats:

159.1 rating, 98-198, 2,052 yards, 19TD's and 9 INT's and was sacked 8 times (he too missed a couple games due to injury)

Yes I am using Matt's sliders but even I have been tweaking them after each year to make it harder for me. I am having very completive games (again to tweaking after a year cause I know what needs to change).

First Game Stats using Matt's sliders with a 60-75 (Human Run Block/CPU Run Block Defense Ratio). Matt's default "ratio" is 60-40.

First Game using a 60-75 ratio.

Michigan (ME)
QB>3-4, 21 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs
HB#1> 28 rushes,164 yards, 1 TD, (5.8)
HB#2>10 rushes, 124 yards, 3 TDs (12.4)

Memphis (CPU)
QB> 7-17, 64 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
HB#1> 12 rushes, 54 yards, 0 TD, (4.5)
HB#2> 6 carries, -5 yards (-0.8)

Second Game using a 35-75 ratio.

Michigan (ME)
QB-6-15, 79 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
HB#1-15 rushes, 25 yards, (1.6 )

Memphis (CPU)
QB-19-25, 170 yards, 3 TDd, 1 INT
HB#1-12 rushes, 48 yards

Both games were played at Memphis. Michigan is a "B" overall, Memphis is a "C" overall.

So running game wise 60-75 is way too easy and 35-75 is way too hard, at least for me. At least I know that there should be a happy balance somewhere in between.
I set mine at 40/70 to start this year so I will tell you how it is going in my dynasty. I have basically no running backs at all so it might be a little rough though.

My next game will be 40/70 with these same two teams.
