Jcompton62 - Re-rated rosters for Xbox360
I know alot of people on here have probably already got their rosters and started their seasons, due to the terrific work of the community and others who have dedicated alot of time.
Since Lanteri87's named rosters came out I have been re-rating them to deal with this progression bug, so I can at least get in a season or two of playing while awaiting a patch to fix progression (if that happens). Just wanted to make the game to fit how I'd like to see it, haven't tried any of the other guys rosters tho...so I'm not sure how they addressed progression issues.
I'm sure these aren't the best or most accurate set when it comes to teams 3 and 4 deep rosters (again used Lanteri's as a base) but I'm hoping that the re-rating methods will result in far less 99's and smaller schools with tons of 90+ people. I renamed, repositioned pretty much everyone from teams 2 deeps, so once you go deeper there might be some inaccuracies.
My method followed something like this
NFL Prospects (Sr.) - 99 OVR to 87 OVR
NFL Prospects (Jr.) - 89 OVR to 95 OVR
Elite Juniors - 85 OVR to 90 OVR
Majority of Juniors - 75 OVR to 84 OVR
Elite Sophomore - 79 OVR to 87 OVR
Majority of Sophomores - 74 OVR to 78 OVR
Elite Freshman - 80 OVR to 77 OVR
Majority of Freshman - 68 to 76 (Note: most Fresh. fall in the 74-76 range, esp. at big schools so they don't get bumped by new upcoming classes.

Season 3
2 players rated 99 (UNC DE Robert Quinn, Ala LB Dontae Hightower) 3 at 98, 3 at 97, 6 at 96, 10 at 95....grows exponentially from there I counted 159 players at or above 90...compared to a 134 in season 2)
7 A- or better teams
Lots of B+ B and B-
Lots of C+ teams
Only 6 teams rated at D+
Not going to go on from here...its more playable than the defaults, but as I look through the rosters I've seen a few 94 rated true sophomores and other players catching up. For ****s and giggles I simmed the season.
Only around 14 1,000 yard rushers...so that was promosing. UCLA's Kevin Prince won the Heisman 3571 yards 34 TD's 4 INT's
Gay *** Bosie State 12-0 vs. Georgia 13-0 for the National Title (this is friggin clown shoes) 41-27 Georgia.
Year 4
3 99's (C Wilson Norris, G John Williams, DT Stacy McGee)
however, there are now over 301 players over the 90 mark, compared to 159 in season 3, and 139 in season 2)
14 A- or better rated schools...and again a ton of B+, B schools......no "D" schools...5 C- minues schools. The rest are C+ or better...
Star Jackson won the heisman 3520 yards 41 total TD's
National Title is Mich vs. Alabama both undefeated 20-0 Win for Bama....
OVERALL: I think I need to bump down Bosie Stats ratings, so they aren't winning every-year...either that or when I sim I can just make sure they lose a game? Idea's guys? Otherwise these look pretty good I guess, except for the crazy progression but these were only intended to work for the first two seasons.
These rosters should be up at somepoint today, I just want to test them a few times to see what type of results I get and do any tweeking I need to do. Take a look at some of these sim numbers feel free to make suggestions. Thanks!
Next Testing session...if I do one... I'll try to remember to include Bowl Results as well. And may check a few top teams schedules to see if there are any unreasonable upsets.
