Got the rosters to work without buying them. Save a PS3 file to the flash drive, copy the roster from the mac to the savedata folder of the PS3 folder on the flash drive, put it back in the ps3, and there you go.

Re: PS3 Roster Transfer Process

I am having trouble...please help.

I used a roster file to save a PS3 file to my max drive usb flash drive.

I then plugged the flash drive into the CPU.

I opened the drive associated with the usb device and opened the folder names Ps3.

I then opened the sub folder called SAVEDATA.

I deleted the info there and dropped the roster gamesave from OS into the folder.

I plugged the usb back into the PS3 and Nothing. Ziltch. It said no save data.

Please help. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you download a zip program like winrar or winzip. That was the difference for me to get it to work.

Did you unzip the file first? You have to unzip the file which creates a new SAVEDATA folder and files inside. The whole folder needs to be copied to the PS3 folder on your USB drive. Then you plug it into the PS3 and use the triangle button to copy it over.

There is a program on my CPU that is automatically unzipping the file for me when I download it from OS. Maybe that program is not winzip, b/c when it "unzips" the file there is only 1 file that shows up on my desktop, when usually there a re 3 or 4 files after u unzip something. Hmmmm, I'll have to look further into this.

Re: PS3 Roster Transfer Process

The order I have them set up as are:

ps3/savedata/rosterfile

Maybe I have the wrong roster file. Is there anyway one of you guys could attach the file to a post. I know I know, I am a moron... but this is just getting to the point where I feel worthless because I cannot figure out a stupid file transfer lol
