Can someone explain what exactly Synergy is doing for Live?

Just wondering what exactly is updating? I haven't played Live in years so I can't remember if there is really a difference between day 1 with the game and how the game plays throughout and all the way to the end of the actual NBA regular season. Is Synergy exclusive to EA?

Since it's updating everyday before the preseason started, assuming it does nothing.

It’s supposed to update player tendencies I believe, so if some is shooting from a certain spot on the floor or shooting more 3’s or layups then they are supposed to do that in the game.

How much it is actually doing I have no idea.

From my experiences with Live and Synergy, it really starts to show once the teams get about 10 games into the season. This seems to allows for a greater sample size and for the Synergy data to be more precise.

And that's just one of it's flaws. I don't think most here will be sad if ea drops synergy going forward.

When it first came out, I honestly thought it would revolutionise CPU AI in sports games.

Sadly though, it simply has not worked.
