Honestly, I probably spent like $120 on 2K13 counting VC purchases, in addition to countless upon countless hours farming VC--and for what? Just so I could get a few of my favorite legends on my MyTeam squad. And I think my case was pretty typical. I can't do that again, which is why I'm really hoping 2K changes that system or LIVE is good enough where I don't miss the modes 2K offers.

How Felton just completely disappeared then magically reappeared again in the dribble sequence? That's just one instance
I don't think Felton disappeared, Kyrie just backed up and the camera cut him out of the scene. I mean based on NBA Lives track history it's easy to dissect the video aand point out the negatives but I also think there's some positives in this brief clip.
  • Kyrie's dribbling looks smooth and fluid, and the fact that his dribbling style is 1 of over 50+ packages intrigues me.
  • The first step that Kyrie used after the jumpball had some bounce and realism to it that I really liked.
  • The footplanting seems to be on par and looks nice, he even shuffles a little bit when first walking up to Felton.
  • The way Kyrie gets low when going for the crossover is a basketball fundamental that i'm glad to see incorporated into the game realistically.
  • Graphics look tight, and something about them just makes me sense some type of physical nature to the game.
I just get a sense of solid basketball, but at the same time it's not canned or predetermined but seems like you can really have a fun free flowing game of basketball coming from NBA Live this year. Plus the other features like team specific playbooks, and defenses catch my attention because as an online gamer I just want the tools to coach my team successfully, but the controls to outplay my opponent at the same time. Live seems like it will deliver that in my opinion.

There wasn't much to see, but I'd find it hard to find a flaw with anything that was shown.

So far so good.

Im not pointing all the negatives out or I would've gone on.

I was responding to your the more you watch it the better it looks.

Well I feel the exact opposite because the bad stuff sticks out like a sore thumb to me, and the splice job looks really obvious.

I dont even want to talk about dribbling anymore because im going to scream if people keep talking about dribbling when that was never an issue. Thats like continually talking about how NBA is a basketball game and not a FPS.

Anyway, Im watching it less and less now, I dont like the hook line and sinker jobs that EA trys to pull and I'll leave it there.

i think your forgetting the fact that Peter Moore has said on multiple occasions that its going to take 2yr+ to even compete with 2k (not bringing up 2k to start a fanboy war, just stating Peter Moore words)... He said 2 yr+ more man... What i take from that is the live 14 is going to be a foundation layer for yet another 3 yr goal... Like elite 11, live 14 is on the same 3yr vision cycle.. thats a shame in itself cause the have had 3yr+ off... But i think you guys really dont understand that there are going to be some core areas of Live 14 that havent really been worked on and are planned on being touched by EA in the next 2 coming yrs... I know people excited to have EA basketball back, but really overseeing the fact that Peter Moore keeps telling us that this is a 3yr goal again, somethings missing or havent been touched up

I hear you. I have to disagree on the dribbling part, it has to be talked about, they deserve that credit at least. I don't want to drag this on since you're tired of hearing it, but i do feel like NBA Live is setting a very solid foundation for the future.

None of the features there touting says to me "Oh this will be gone by next year" like protak from Madden, but more of a rock that will hold the house together and even be built on over time.

I can see this game improving year by year, they just have to get the pressure of this first year off, but the potential to be a great game is right there.

Sad part about it is I've thought the same thing about previous Live's. 10 being the most recent one I had that feeling about.

Here's to hoping for once EA can stick to the plan!

And MSG isn't an arena where fans are standing up and hollering acting crazy.
Also they're saying with the "EA SPORTS IGNITE" engine they're using that the sidelines and crowd will be dynamic and respond to what's going on in the game. Really makes you want to see more.
