EA sports is being cheap towards nba live

Hire the best people who can create a great basketball game. it's a shame that the people at ea can't get it together when it comes to basketball. That tells me the people at ea are cheap. Back in the day we had options when it came to buying a basketball game. we had live, in the zone, nba shootout, nba fast break, espn basketball, Kobe Bryant basketball and a few other titles. If ea can't compete with 2k then some other gaming company needs to step up and give 2k a run for its money

Technically, who are "the best people who can create a great basketball game"? History says that those people already have a job, right? . Let's not pretend that all of those titles you listed were good. They all had pluses and minuses. But most of them had more minuses than pluses and the better titles survived.

I'd argue the opposite.

EA has paid the salaries of the entire development staff for what, three years now? And those efforts have produced a grand total of $0 in sales.

Cheap? Try incredibly wasteful.

They did have Mike Wang he is arguably the best in terms of gameplay. But, they decided to go in another direction. Seems that they accomplished that goal.

How can people say Wang is the "best" when they don't really talk about the others designers in the genre. Who are you comparing him to. Just asking. Is he excellent, of course. The best? You don't know.

What I do know is that Live 10 was the only good offering they had this generation, which was in large part due to his input. They told him they were going in a different direction and they promptly crashed and burned.

Was that all because they let him go? Probably not, but that surely didn't help their brand to go with the hockey guy instead of a basketball guy.

I feel bad for those developers for new live series. They might lose their job..... Then again they got paid for doing garbage work for the last 3 years so I guess I don't feel that bad.

What is the point of this thread but to create controversy and arguments? Locking this.
